WoW Tailoring Guide

WoW Tailoring Guide

Tailoring is one of the easiest professions to level to 375. It doens't require a secondary skill and anyone can farm the cloth drops themselves but you can also buy them off the Auction House.

Since patch 2.4 was implemented you can now train up to Artisan Tailoring at any trainer available. To get your skill past 300 you will need to see the Master Tailoring Trainer that is located in each factions appropriate starting city for the Burning Crusade in Hellfire Peninsula, Honor Hold and Thrallmar.

Apprentice Tailoring

There is nothing special going on for the first section, the bags you can probably sell to noobs though.

Journeyman Tailoring

Silk cloth is plentiful in Scarlet Monastery if you have a high level you can go in there and farm a lot of silk and run some of your alts through the instance. You get to make your first shirt, that has to be exciting.

Expert Tailoring

Hurray for headbands, didn't I tell you this was going to be one of the easiest professions to level up?

Artisan Tailoring

It's still easy mode in this section but I should point out you will be able to sell some of these items or disenchant them for supplies. The Runecloth bags are a pretty popular twink item because they cost substantially less than netherweave bags.

Master Tailoring

This is the only section that needs extra explaining. The Bolts of Imbued Netherweave require Arcane dust which can sometimes be expensive. Keep these bolts of Imbued Netherweave because they will be used to go from 360-375. Also the other items you will be making will sell decently or you can give them to an enchanter to disenchant to maybe get more arcane dust for tailoring.

The Imbued Netherweave Robe/Tunic can be purchased from Aarond who is in Shadowmoon Valley at the Sanctum of the Stars. He is a Scryer merchant so if you aren't at least neutral with Scryer you will have to have a Scryer friend buy it for you. The pattern is tradeable.
